Kol Isha Shabbat Service

KISS is Going Virtual!
Kol Isha Shabbat Service                                         Saturday, January 30, 2021

Kol Isha Shabbat Service (KISS), is Temple Beth El of South Orange County’s annual, popular, inspiring, musical, all women-led Shabbat morning service. KISS is always on (Saturday morning) Shabbat ShiraParashat Beshalach, in part due to the important role women played in the Exodus, their activities upon crossing the Red Sea, a time when their voices were most distinct. Kol isha means both “every women” and “woman’s voice.” There are parts for all TBE women: Hebrew and English prayers, Torah readings, and an opportunity to serve as greeters. The KISS Choir, under the gifted leadership of Cantor Natalie Young, musically enhances our prayers. This service draws enthusiastic participation from diverse members of our dually-affiliated (Conservative and Reform) synagogue and is attended not just by the women who lead it but by their families and others who come to kvell (burst with pride). At our sumptuous Kiddush Luncheon that follows services the KISS dancers and vocal accompaniment entertain us. This event is not to be missed. For additional information, please contact KISS Task Force Chair Wendy Lupul at

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the January 30, 2021 Kol Isha Shabbat Service will be held virtually be held virtually on Zoom.
