We offer engaging ways to enjoy Shabbat such as:

Friday Night
Welcoming Shabbat: A Joyous and Participatory Service for young and old, Music, Dancing, Community, Opportunities for reflection and inspiration. Gathering at 5:30 for hors d’oeuvres.

Traditional Reform Shabbat Service: A beautiful service in the mainstream Reform model of worship using a variety of musical styles with piano accompaniment to create a warm and inviting worship experience. Our rabbis offer inspirational learning with their sermons. This service is followed by an Oneg Shabbat (savory treats and socializing!)

Saturday Mornings
Reform Shabbat Morning services begin at 10am on select dates and takes place in our sanctuary. While the service is open to our entire congregation, you can expect that service attendees will primarily be guests of the b’nai mitzvah family. The bar/bat mitzvah student will lead the service from Mishkan T’filah, our Reform prayer book.

Every Saturday morning there is  Conservative Shabbat morning service or a Jerusalem Shabbat service in the Sidney Eisenberg Chapel. (Please see our calendar for details.)

Conservative Shabbat Morning services are an uplifting participatory service using traditional liturgy out of Lev Shalem, our Conservative prayer book.

Service timing is from 9:15 am – 12 pm and is followed by a community lunch.

Jerusalem Shabbat Services are participatory services that typically take place in our chapel, but sometimes are held in the Pasternack Sanctuary. Led by Rabbi K’vod, Cantor Young, and the Band of Milk and Honey, in the context of our regular Shabbat morning community, out of Mishkan T’filah (our Reform prayer book) and/or from Lev Shalem (our Conservative prayer book).

Service timing is from 9:30 am – 11:45 pm and is followed by a community lunch.

Torah Study is an opportunity to explore the weekly portion in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where each participant has the opportunities to learn, listen and share. A brief lay-led service follows the study.
